A businessperson and entrepreneur, Nick
co-founded Praxeon after having taken part
in numerous pharmaceutical and biotechnology
start-ups. Most recently, Nick helped start
Infinity
Pharmaceuticals (NASD:INFI) providing technical and logistical support in business development. Infinity became a
public company in 2006.
Prior to that, Nick helped start
TransForm
Pharmaceuticals (NYSE:JNJ) focusing on project management,
client interface, and system design of automated high-throughput platform for experiments on drug
formulation and crystallization.
TransForm was acquired by Johnson & Johnson in 2005 (

Before TransForm, Nick worked at the Genome Sequencing Center at
Washington University School of Medicine in the lab of Dr. Warren Gish. Clinically, Nick has worked as researcher at the University of Rochester Medical School's psychiatric ward as well as a Medical Technician for a patient with advanced Adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD), whose life was the story behind the movie
Lorenzo's Oil.
Education
Nick is currently pursuing an M.B.A. from Yale University (
Leadership in Health Care). He holds a Masters degree in Computer Science from Washington University and a Masters degree in Cell Biology from the University of Dayton. His biology thesis work was on human bone stem cells. He has two undergraduate degrees from the University of Rochester in Biology and Psychology with a concentration in Neuroscience.
